The Sony C800G is an outstanding mic, no doubt. I love it since day 1. But it doesn’t fit with every voice. I also got the U87ai and added the innerTUBE kit, which turns the mic into my absolute favourite vocal microphone, especially for rap (male). Rich, warm, open sounding with smooth highs. It’s just between the U67 and U87 A, was quite cleary more open and clear sounding on the SOS test. I’d love to have been wrong as I have 2 C800G’s I could have sold. The nasally singing was really annoying though. The Youtube vid became less apparent with stacked up, processed falsetto vocals. Still more depth on the Sony, but not so useful here.
